Local Video Producer Wins Iron Videographer Award
Creates Wedding Event Video in Competition
Stoughton, WI, June 18, 2007 €“ Frogman Productions of Stoughton, WI, recently won the Iron Videographer competition, sponsored by The 4Ever Group and Cannon, held during the Michigan Independent Videographers Association meeting in Detroit, MI on June 5-6. The competition features event videographers who are given the same footage and time limit to create a fully edited highlight composition 3-10 minutes in length in less than 4 hours. The competition is a spin off of the Iron Chef television show, which also supplied a secret ingredient that was required to be incorporated into each production. In this event it was a piece of music.
Participants in the Iron Videographer competition are selected by a vote from their peers in four regions (North, South, East and West) around the country. According to Philip Hinkle, president of Frogman Productions, €œWe are very proud of this recent accomplishment because only eight videographers from around the country were selected to participate. It€™s a very big honor.€
Hinkle was paired up with fellow videographer Scott Bert, owner of Keepsake Productions from Jedo, MI. They were each given the same nine hours of wedding footage and were required to edit down the material in the same room working on dual projection wide screen set ups, while also being observed and questioned by other videographers.
